The executive announced her new role at Oval Money on Wednesday on the professional networking site LinkedIn. She left OANDA earlier in June.

Since starting her marketing career in November 2012, Gumus has worked as a Marketing Manager for a number of online trading companies. Before OANDA, she was the Global Affiliate Marketing Manager at GAIN Capital for two years and eight months.

Between May 2017 and March 2018, she was the Affiliate Marketing Manager at Core Spreads, a London-based financial spread betting platform. Earlier, she served as the Marketing Manager at Acil Group Limited, a UK home furnishing company, for two years and four months.

Gumus began her marketing career as a Marketing Assistant at RAISEonline and the Fischer Family Trust Training in November 2012 and worked there until September 2013. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Marketing from Kingston University in London.

In May last year, Guru Capital, a Swiss private equity firm, acquired Oval Money and integrated its portfolio firm ETX Capital into its operations. ETX Capital was later rebranded to OvalX, still operating as an online CFD and spread betting platform.

In the past month, both brands have seen the entry and departure of executives. In September, Oval Money appointed Luca Merolla as its new Chief Executive Officer. Merolla has been a part of the company since October 2020 as a Non-Executive Director.

In August, OvalX tapped Lawrence Jones, the former Head of Digital Marketing at Pepperstone, as its new Head of Digital Acquisition. On the contrary, Andrew Saks, an industry veteran, departed OvalX in July and would later join The People’s SCE as the Head of Marketing.
